GaP Solutions was established in 1999 and goes from strength to strength, continuing to grow its customer base and develop its retail solutions in-line with the needs of retailing today – with tomorrow in mind.
Starting life in 1991 as Brice South Australia the state division of the National Brice Network the business specialised as a regional commercial food equipment vendor & service provider.
Brice remains one of the three core businesses (along with IGA Trott Park) that form part of GaP Solutions, the equipment range and skills required to support this division have given GaP Solutions a distinct edge over other software vendors – front of house and back of house meat, fish & delicatessen equipment integration provided by GaP Solutions is unrivalled.
GaP Solutions can list many 'first to do' successes that set us aside from the average grocery retail software vendor, some examples are:
- 1994 - First to develop a scale management system which includes modules for wholesale pricing and invoicing (Scale King)
- 1995 - Developed our first bakery printer software system linked to the back office
- 1999 - Developed the first Back Office system supported by Metcash SA
- 2000 - Developed the first TCP/IP DOS based POS system for independent supermarkets
- 2002 - released Scale King multi-store controller
- 2003 - First to develop for the independent supermarkets a touch screen POS system which included docket sorting and cleansing with colour flip charts for fruit and veg items; Ezi-POS
- 2006 - Developed and installed the first deli-counter ordering system fully integrated with all deli-solutions from GaP, price file and specials management, deli-scale systems and take a ticket; Ezi-kiosk
- 2008 - First to develop an integrated payment terminal that fills the space between standard POS and self seve checkouts; Ezi-pay
- 2008/9 - First to develop an interface for a range of ESL (electronic shelf labels) Ezi-ESL
- 2009 - First to develop a deli/meat room scale software system dedicated to the supermarket industry including full integration to the back office data base and deli-ordering system; Ezi-Scale
- 2009 - First IGA accredited vendor to integrate NCR self checkout systems with their retail solutions; Ezi-SCO
- 2010 - First vendor to install NCR SCO into an independent retailer in Australia (Drakes – Woodcroft) SCO-bagwell; SCO-mini;
- 2010 - First to develop a truly integrated markdown system as part of a comprehensive Shrinkage Management Solution based on an RF PDE hand scanner; Ezi-mobile
- 2010 - Developed the unique multi-check out queue management system; Ezi-Qmanager.
- 2010/11 - Launched the most complete Deli-Service System currently available to idependent grocery retailers; Ezi-Deli
