2017 marks GaP Solutions 25th Anniversary, from humble beginnings as a food processing equipment repairs business the company has grown into a truly unique business, offering services for every aspect of the retail cycle.
Founded in 1992 by John Goodacre and Mike Puczkowski who together identified an underserved market sector and seized the opportunity. Since that moment the management of GaP have been determined to drive retail markets through innovation, continuously developing solutions which capitalize on emerging trends to improve retailers’ efficiency and effectiveness.
Fueled by an ambitious and innovative management GaP Solutions experienced rapid growth by identifying valuable avenues for diversification. By 1994 GaP had released a multi scale control system for check weighing equipment and by 1999 it had delved into computer software, developing and launching the first back office system supported by Metcash SA.
In 2003 GaP developed its own point of sale software and since then has continued to support retailers through market innovation of retail hardware, software and integrated systems.
Today GaP solutions is a software developer, systems integrator, supermarket, food processing and weighing equipment supplier with specialized solutions for grocery, bakery, fresh produce, butchers and deli outlets.
